The exhibition “La Biennale di Venezia”, showing until the 26 of November, director by Christina Macel, is an important event for your calendar, as it occurs once every two years.
The theme of this edition is “Viva Arte Viva”, a true exclamation for the expression of every artists’ deep feelings. It is a way to ask oneself how to develop an artistic method, a work of art and what the practices are in the development of something and especially what occurs in the heart of each person. This is why the new “Biennale di Venezia” exhibit twists and turns in an organic line through a sequence of pavilions, suggesting real rooms. In this way, the spectator’s experience is fully composed. The works of art from all over the world within the pavilions, one after the other, follow no leitmotiv.
The curator Christine Macel has declared “With conflicts and the shock that the world faces today, art today is a witness of the most precious part of human beings at time when humanism is in serious danger. It is the place of excellence for reflection, for individual expression and freedom from fundamental doubts. It is a “yes” to life, often followed by a “but”. More than ever the artist’s role, voice and responsibility appear to be crucial in the realm of contemporary debates”
Born in 1895, the Biennale di Venezia happens during the odd years, alternating with the edition dedicated to architecture. This is very prestigious worldwide art event with internationally famous artists meeting in Italy’s most romantic city to show their work.
This is why it is truly worth participating in this edition.
