At “Le Stanze del Vetro” in Venice there is an exhibition of Vittorio Zecchin, an artist of glass woks that in XX century changed the production of the glass object because of the essential design and straordinary colors.
Vittorio, whose father was an artisan of glass as well, studied at Accademia delle Belle Arti in Venice and he was intolerant of a nineteenth-century culture in fact he distanced himself from it.
On the contrary, it was strong the influence of Biennale in Venice that he attended in Venice.
In 1921 he was the art director of “Vetri Soffiati Muranesi Cappellin Venini & C.” and he created vases with thin glass and with delicate colours.
This production, that was the first example of a modern work realized in Murano Glass, is at the moment in exposition until 7th January at “Le Stanze del Vetro” placed in San Giorgio Maggiore island, an expositive space dedicated to the artist specialized in glass creations.
